“Shaken up”

I know I am going to get some flack for this and almost decided not to post this yet even when a tragedy, one as terrible as violent acts on elected officials takes place it is cause to pause and think.  Maybe I am just morbid in my thinking. Maybe I just say what the first thing is that comes to my mind. Yet it appears members of Congress were shot by a coward.
Rightly so, members of Congress are “shaken up.” I don’t want to undermine this, yet maybe just maybe.  These men who vote to send soldiers into combat for profit, who wish to essentially kill people by taking away healthcare, these privileged few who lord over the people with draconian laws imprisoning more people than Russia and China combined, the list goes on. Let me make it clear these acts of violence against unarmed people are cowardly and detestable, yet so is the actions of those who were “shaken up.”  It is easy to impose life threatening action from behind a desk, it is not so fun when the shoes on the other foot.
I pray for the Congress this day the members and officers injured, and those traumatized by this wicked event.  Maybe it will bring about unity and a time of reflection on why there is such division in America.
God bless.

Nate Sprott takes you on a no holds barred look into the madness of religion in this first comedy special.  If you get offended easy you might as well not listen!

As we are still trying to get over the election of 2016 hoping that things do not get any worse, Nate gives us some words of Jesus regarding division.  As you know we are experiencing great division in this country.  Is it a sign of the times? Are we on a path towards a great revival?  Or our we headed down the road of destruction?  Find out on this episode of The Backyard Preacher Podcast.

“Owe no one nothing but to love one another.”  During this divisive time we must look to the scriptures to see how we as Christians should act during a Trump Administration.  Nate will discuss Romans chapter 13, allowing us to deal with the upcoming crisis.

What the heck, Donald Trump is President elect!  This news has rocked many to the core as they stand in disbelief that such a man could be President of this country.  As I have said before it is not Trump we must be concerned with, it is his followers who have been emboldened to live out their built up hate.  We must not lower ourselves to their level.  We must instead be Christ to all people, love overcomes, we must fight the good fight even if it leads us to our own cross!

The church needs to read our own parables given by our Master.  We should also ask for repentance for our love of money.  Money has truly become our God.

The national economy is a scam. At one time a man could graduate high school and land a job which could support a home, wife, and 2.5 kids. It’s not that way anymore many families working full time are eligible for “entitlements” which the term is often misused. Unless we suggest only the lucky ones with more wealth have the privilege of having a family. many have a misconception that receiving state supplements to survive is something that is desired. Nobody wants to live on welfare, but we must also realize the government does not care; in fact longs for a welfare state. Food, housing, and financial supplements serve to allow the what I call modern slaves of society to have families, preventing a desire from becomeing entrepreneurs or gaining  greater heights, that said is financial success really what we as Christians should be concerned with? Let’s not forget we pay our tithe to the state as Isreal of old in order to fund social welfare programs to help those in our Lords image. The church does its part but cannot match the government’s provisions. While it is appealing to think of the church being the center of social well fare it is not equipped, nor I believe the thousands of denominational differences between us could allow for such to take place. Also I do not believe a theocracy on this earth is the way towards true Kingdom living. People have lost hope in the “American dream” it is a fantasy which few find and when they do become angry they fill the grocery cart of the less fortunate and then claim Christian values. If we truly took the parable of the Good Samaritan to heart we would not complain but be happy to help supplement our brother who lives in worse conditions, works crap jobs, to serve those who have more. And we somehow think that they think they are taking “our” money? Should a man rob God? The famous line used in churches to create guilt for the offering plate. Then we turn our nose at the poor. Nobody thinks they are entitled, people are born to survive and will do so however they can. However they find opportunity. Not alot of opportunity going around at the moment, but follow the money. Corporations are overseas, and only those in which it makes sense to stay here do so and are forced to pay a living wage. See we blame the youth, it’s not the youth it is what the youth have been born into. I argue not that they have not been born into a state of entitlements, but a state of Greed. Yet are we supposed to praise these Wallstreet banksters who trade money like a commodity and think they are blessed by God because they have wealth? Wealth and earthly luxurious do not equal to Godly blessings. The begger Lazarus can show us this. Yet we mock the begger while we tear down barns to build bigger ones. Yes our Lord was truly correct the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.

You can allow the outcome of this election destroy your inner peace, cause division in your household, and literally cause an end to America as you know it or come to an understanding that the Kingdom of Heaven is near and has nothing to do with American politics. No matter who is elected next month let us fear not and continue in the Spirit of love to all people.
